Follow-ups
A note to future you.Delivered on time.
Promised to check back? Set a private reminder on the conversation. Nothing about it changes until your bell rings, with your own note, right when you asked.
Not a snooze
The conversation stays put
Snooze moves a conversation out of everyone's way. A follow-up leaves it exactly where it is and only nudges you. Switch between them to see the difference.
- Status
- Stays exactly as it is
- In the queue
- Stays where it is
- Who sees it
- Only you
- When it's due
- Your bell rings, with your note
Use a follow-up when you want to check back, but the conversation should carry on as normal.

The details
Small feature, exact behaviour
A reminder is only useful if you can trust it. Here’s precisely what one does.
Deadlines for the whole team live in SLA policies
- Private to you
- Your reminders are yours. Teammates don't see them, and they don't reach anyone else.
- Nothing else moves
- Status, assignee and queue position stay as they are. The customer sees nothing.
- Your note is the reminder
- Write what future you needs to know. No note? It uses the conversation's subject.
- Checked every minute
- On the server, so it arrives on time even if you haven't had the inbox open all day.
- Straight back to it
- The reminder names the conversation and opens it in one click.
- Follows your settings
- Mute and quiet hours apply, like every other notification.
Follow-up questions
Snooze changes the conversation's status and takes it out of the open queue for everyone. A follow-up changes nothing about the conversation; it only reminds you.
